The New York Power Authority filed a request with the Federal Communications Commission to establish a private LTE network using spectrum from Anterix, highlighting one of three predominant vendor models in the growing field. NYPA is turning to a private LTE network - which can offer greater security and reliability compared with public LTE networks - to modernize its operations as a public power utility.
