Why 5G Mobile Technology is an Evolution Beyond Mobile Internet

Today, we are all experiencing the technology revolution. New programming languages, operating systems, mobile and computer devices, frameworks, and libraries pop up all the time. During the early 90s, the concept of using the internet in our daily life was a pipe dream as it was something primarily used in the high-end scientific research and military defense sector. But ten years later, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, the internet was everywhere and people accessed it in their homes via their desktop computers. And after ten years, we have started to access the internet through our mobile phones using 2G technology. And now, in the year 2018, we access the internet with our smartphones using 4G technology.
The notable thing is, along with the rapid development of the computer technology, wireless cellular services also evolved. Since the United States of America launched its first 1G network way back in 1983, we have witnessed the launch of 2G, 3G, 4G and now we are heading towards fifth-generation wireless called 5G.
What is 5G?
5G is the fifth generation of cellular technology engineered to superbly enhance the responsiveness and speed of wireless networks. Not only the bands below 6 Ghz, that are currently used for 4G LTE networks are covered by the spectrum for 5G services, but also extends into much higher frequency bands not previously considered for mobile communications. With an expected average download speed of around 1GBps, 5G should offer connections that are way faster than the existing connections. In technical lab tests, 4.5Gb/s (4500 megabits per second) and more has been achieved. The users can enjoy between 10 and 20 times better speed than 4G LTE mobile networks of today. And it even has the potential to be faster than wired internet connections, too. The term BUFFERING will be buried in the grave as you can expect to have much higher quality video calls, no wait time for streaming YouTube videos and quick uploading of web pages.
